These skilled artisans utilize small stills with a capacity of 250 liters or less, guaranteeing that no two batches of their agave spirits are the same.
Sustainability in Packaging: Luneta’s commitment to craft, quality, and individuality also extends to its packaging. The brand sources handblown recycled glass for their 375 ml bottles from one of Mexico City’s last independently owned glass shops, ensuring that each bottle is as unique as the agave spirit it contains. They also minimize plastic use and incorporate recycled materials for their boxes and hand-made labels from upcycled agave fibers in Oaxaca.
Agave Conservation: Luneta is dedicated to preserving the centuries-old craft of agave spirit production by conserving the plants that make their elixirs possible. To support this cause, they contribute $1 to their agave conservation fund for each bottle or tasting kit purchased.
The Choice of Agave Spirits: Luneta offers agave spirits that share the same materials and techniques used to make mezcal but are not registered with the Consejo Regulador del Mezcal (CRM). This conscious decision allows them to eliminate expensive fees for the family-owned distilleries they work with and reduce bureaucratic red tape.
The Luneta Story: Luneta was founded by Jed Wolf (Lobito) when he sought a new perspective on life.
